1. About these terms

These Terms govern your use of the Transport Studies website, training courses, webinars, traffic analysis tools and related digital services. By creating an account, purchasing a service or using a service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services and accounts

You must provide accurate account and contact information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Some services require an active subscription or paid order.

3. Courses and digital content

Course access is provided according to the plan or course description displayed at the time of purchase. Course content is for the purchaser's personal learning use unless a separate written licence is agreed. You may not resell, redistribute, copy or publicly share protected course materials.

4. Certificates

Where a course states that a certificate is included, the certificate is a Transport Studies certificate of completion unless the course page expressly identifies another issuer. It is not an academic degree, statutory licence, professional accreditation or vendor certification unless expressly stated.

5. Traffic Video Analyzer

The analyzer is an assistive software tool. The current web implementation performs detection locally in the browser and stores analysis metadata/results in the authenticated history rather than storing the source video file. Results depend on video quality, camera position, lighting, occlusion, detector confidence, tracking and calibration assumptions.

Analyzer results are not certified traffic counts, speed surveys, safety measurements or professional engineering determinations. You remain responsible for reviewing source footage, assumptions and outputs before using them in engineering reports, decisions, statutory submissions or other professional deliverables.

6. Usage limits and abuse prevention

Analyzer plans have usage and file-size limits displayed before use. The current free plan allows 3 analyses per month and videos up to 100 MB; the current Pro plan allows 50 analyses per month and videos up to 1 GB. Limits may change when plan details are updated. You must not create accounts, automate requests or otherwise attempt to bypass limits or overload the service.

7. Payments, renewals and refunds

Prices, billing periods, included features and applicable taxes/charges are displayed before a purchase or subscription confirmation. A paid subscription grants access for the paid period shown at purchase. Renewal and cancellation terms are shown before recurring billing where applicable. Our Refund Policy is available before purchase and forms part of the purchase information for applicable services.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the website to upload unlawful, infringing, malicious or harmful material; process footage without appropriate authority; attempt to bypass usage limits; interfere with the service; probe security controls; or use another person's account without permission.

9. Third-party software and trademarks

PTV VISSIM, SIDRA INTERSECTION, SYNCHRO and other software names referenced on this site are third-party products and/or trademarks of their respective owners. SUMO is an open-source traffic simulation project associated with Eclipse SUMO. References are for training, identification and compatibility purposes only and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, accreditation or affiliation unless expressly stated.

10. Intellectual property

Transport Studies and its licensors retain rights in the website, software, course materials, branding and original content except for material that is clearly identified as third-party content.

11. Third-party services

The website may link to or use third-party services including payment, hosting, analytics, email and educational platforms. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to those services.

12. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend or modify features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, compliance or product development. We will make reasonable efforts to keep paid services available during an active subscription.

13. Disclaimers

Training and software are educational and analytical services and do not replace professional engineering judgement, applicable standards, statutory requirements or project-specific review.
